My "Very First" Cameron Highlands Trip on 6-8 Aug 2010 (Part I)

Cameron Highland history started with tea plantations. The Highlands were named after William Cameron, a British colonial government surveyor who discovered the plateau during a mapping expedition in 1885. The fame of Cameron Highlands then grew during the colonial era when British planters realized the potential of its fertile mountain slopes for growing tea, then a prized commodity.

1st Day ( Depart from Klang - Cameron Highlands )

We started our journey from Klang about 2pm after we had our quick and light lunch (to avoid uncomfortable feeling) before reaching our destination because the paths to the peak of Cameron Highlands are curve and narrow. We felt like every minute our car is turning here and there...left ! right ! left & right ! After few hours journey, finally we reach Cameron Highlands at 5:29pm. YeahoOO~~~ This is my "very first" step to Cameron Highlands !!!

Before going further down to Tanah Rata to check-in at Green Hills apartment, we drop by at Brinchang Pasar Malam to get some fresh vege for our dinner.

Here is the place where we stay, The Block Eugine of Green Hills Apartment which is belongs to a chinese lady, Ms Khor. She is very friendly and nice lady ! She is always kind to provide us the things we need... such as extra bed ? No problem and free of charge ! BBQ Pit ? ok ! Table for BBQ ? ok take it ! All fulfill. Thanks ;-)

After check in, we, ladies are busying to prepare dinner. Our menu for first night in Cameron Highlands is "Steamboat".
The cold weather is definitely perfect to eat steamboat
Agree ??? Ya ! Ya ! Ya !!!

After dinner...

We went to Tanah Rata town which is just 5 mins driving from our apartment. Then we decides to take a short walk around the town which allowed me easy for taking heaps of pics. It was freezing cold and windy during the night.... The moment I got out, I immediately felt like I was in Kundasang, Sabah. I miss Sabah a lot !!!

Till then and to be continue for my part II blog...

Thanks for dropping by !
